CSS Help 10 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 0
Hey, i'm a complete noob when it comes to css, so I was hoping someone would be able to walk me through this change I would like to make to my website (www.pbcomputers.co.za)

I would like to change the background colour on the website, but only on the sides as I feel the white is abit boring.
So basically the middle part of the page where it was New products etc - I would like that to remain the same, then in the open spaces on the Left and Right of the page I would like to change that background colour to a shade of grey.

I have attached a picture that explains the areas in which I would like to change

Can someone please give me a walkthrough/assist me on how I can change that

Much appreciated,
Warrick

You will need to enter and edit index.php at yout template, as i understood good you are using 'default' - grey template. That means you will need to split fields as you want to put background.

For example: now in this template middle and left column is united, you will need to split it.

In CSS you need to check 'background: url('. It sets background image.

Now background color is defined in 'BODY' class and is set to image which u see at the top.

Thanks for the reply, but how can I split the columns? I'm fairly new to this so i'm not even sure what my first move would be

Fast sollutions could be frames or table.

Table could consist of top line for header, middle line for body and down line for header. Middle line should be splited to 3 columns where the middle column is bigger in width.
