i am really struggling with paypal intregation i am trying to install paypal express and have saved all the correct settings but it doesnt show up on the site when i do a test sale any ideas or known issues thanks

Try by first setting zone to none.
If it is visible then you need to make sure that your zone when testing matches what you have originally set as zone for this payment module.

hi i have checked zone as suggested but still nothing - i have double checked the api settings etc and they all seem ok - my only concern is the section that says cURL Program Location - what should be in here when i save paypal doesnt even appear as a payment option i am so confused with this it is doing my head in if anyone can help

curl program location is really depend on your host, but default value should just work btw. which version that you use ? have you enabled the payment module ? (not just install)

not sure which version i am on but i only download it about a month ago so should be the latest i have enabled it to accept paypal but nothing shows i have tried paypals website payments standard and that shows no problem but comes up with an error when you confirm order

for paypal express, the cause that it not displayed is only from - it's not enabled - zone setting
