TomatoCart

The primary goal of TomatoCart v2.0 is to create a simple open source ecommerce framework with strong extensibility and flexibility; it enables developers and designers to create full-featured ecommerce solution. Developers can override any components without touch any core code. This keeps the framework very clean and is very easy for upgrade.

TomatoCart v2.0 is in development, please do not use it in production enviroment. This release is an evaluation version for community developers and users who are participating in the development and are providing feedback.

There will be no install routine for evaluation edition, please refer to readme.txt for installation guide.

3. Upgrade Extjs 2.0 to Extjs 4.0

i also noticed in that the url is hardcoded in many javascript file

Thank you again. Don't worry about that. Since we haven't clean any code yet, there are some hardcoded urls. We will clean them all later.

Is there any areas that we should concentrate in testing first which might be considered done?

Can't wait till I install it to check it out....ok I have now installed it...

It downloaded a folder ra2

I installed it, but still references 1.15 in the install notes...did i downloaded the right version?

My admin login did not work after installation, but the store front work similar to previous versions.

How can i make sure that i have the right install files...is there any reference in the folder as to the version?

.............ok nvm...i had a problem with the working folder...i can now get into my admin section....

So is 2.0 similar to 1.15? Or what areas need to be tested?

You should concentrate on the system framework rather than the features between TomatoCart 1.x and 2.0. Actually, the most difference for the TomatoCart v2.0 is that the flexible framework for the developers and designers.

1. Developed as a flexible and solid Object-Oriented ecommerce framework utilizing popular codeigniter framework and latest extjs framework.

2. The controllers, models and views are separated respectively. Optimized SQL queries abstracted into models so that the data is separated from the other system components.

3. Developers could override or extend the core library, controller, model, view and template layout in the system local directory. It means that developers could add and extend core features without editing TomatoCart core source code files.

4. The framework allows for a fast release cycle without breaking compatibility when upgrading.

5. Support the pad and mobile device with a better user experience.

6. Integrate the Sencha Touch into the admin panel.
