Steps to upgrade 1.1.4 to 1.1.5 6 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Having a hard finding out the steps to upgrading an existing cart. I can see the 1.1.5 download and I have clicked on configuration/upgrade, but cant find a section on the upgrade process. What files do I copy where and when done how do i perform the upgrade? Any help would be appreciated

I*m sorry to say that but upgrade section and procedure really does not exist yet in any version. It is most likely to say it is files replacement. When "upgrading" from some version to new version you are instructed to overwrite all files. There are instructions to upgrade database only (if needed).

If you didn*t make much customizations in your files you can overwrite them all and make your changes again. But, if you made significant changes you wish to keep, but not sure you could make them again, or it is too much work to do, you have this options:
stay on version you are
overwrite all and loose all or most of your work
try to find by yourself what files to keep and what files to replace by comparing two versions, or
you can visit Extension Manager (in Products section on this page) and buy yourself a ready to use package for upgrade.

Here*s the official Upgrade guide (in zip) in case you don*t have one. You can keep your database as is, all you have to do is to upgrade files, most of them by overwriting with files from v.1.1.5 except few of them which you have to upgrade manually.
If you made some valuable changes in some files (and you remember or can find out what files), do not overwrite these files either, rather make upgrade manually in them.

Hello Antun
Will there be a guide for 1.15 to 1.16?
Thanks in anticipation.

Hi Affableaardvark !

The upgrade from v.1.1.5 to v.1.1.6 is relatively easy. Follow this link:
http://code.google.com/p/tomatocart-shoppingcart/downloads/list

and download update files v1.1.6.zip

In case you didn*t make code changes to your files that has to be updated
Unzip to some temporary folder, then upload all the files to your web shop to the same folders as in zip archive. When prompted to overwrite files, click Yes.

If you made changes to some of the files you shall make the update manually. If you have such files post them to me and I*ll do it for you.
